Buttaci Leardi & Werner Welcomes 2024 Summer Associate Lauren Vuolo

Buttaci Leardi & Werner is pleased to welcome its 2024 summer associate, Lauren Vuolo. Lauren is a rising 3L at Seton Hall University School of Law, where she is an Associate Editor of the Seton Hall Journal of Legislation and Public Policy. Additionally, Lauren is a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board, the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, the Women’s Law Forum, and the Women’s Golf Club. She is a Research Assistant and is also the co-founder and secretary of the Fashion Law Society. Lauren received her undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University.

Firm member Nicole P. Allocca, who spearheads the summer associate program, said, “The summer position allows law students interested in a Health Law career to experience what post-graduate life as an attorney at Buttaci Leardi & Werner will be like. Summer associates experience the firm’s practice and culture through practical training, challenging work, constructive feedback, and social interaction both formally and in more casual settings. The goal is for both the firm and the summer associate to get to know each other, in the hopes of allowing both sides to make an informed decision about a potential long-term collaboration.” Of note, Allocca was a summer associate at the firm, and she was elevated to member in 2022.

Firm member Paul D. Werner, who oversees the firm’s recruiting efforts, added, “We are happy to offer Lauren opportunities to shadow our attorneys in court proceedings, during negotiations, and in client meetings. Our summer program is not ‘busy work’ but rather we give summer associates actual client work, so that they see exactly what will be expected of them if we extend a post-graduation offer.”

“As a firm, we are deeply committed to working in a welcoming and energized environment and nurturing a culture built upon core values of intellectual creativity, client-focus, and personal development. Of course a law student’s professional potential is important, but we equally value finding a cultural match, and I look forward to including Lauren in our meetings and social events this summer,” said firm member John W. Leardi.

Vincent N. Buttaci, the firm’s founder, echoed his partners, “Whether it’s lunches, client visits, or even a boat trip around Point Pleasant, Lauren will see our focus on working cohesively as a team, and our culture of respect, kindness and collaboration. We strongly feel that culture is about much more than just getting along with each other, it’s about making sure our clients always get the very best from us, which only happens when we work together as a team.”
